The only thing for which prayer is a suitable substitute is a sugar pill. I've received a couple PMs and a comment here and there saying little to nothing more than, "I'll pray for you." This Christian platitude has just gotten irritating... at least these sorts of comments are far outstripping the paltry handful of threats I've received. It doesn't replace the argument you didn't make, the evidence you couldn't find, the rebuttal you couldn't form, the objection you refused to raise, or even something droll you might have said while privately recognizing your refusal to engage the case against your faith otherwise.
