Why I Hate Intensive Farming - Helicopter Crop Spraying. Not a planned film so rather impromptu, but I just needed to quickly record this in case, as has happened before, the Pilot decides to skim the tree tops of my house and which almost resulted in him getting his Pilot's license suspended. This practise of spraying Pesticides, Insecticides is usually only carried out when the fields are saturated and the tractors cannot drive upon them, this is not the case here, this is to get it done quickly as time is money and the better the crop yield, the more profit. But, at what cost, declining Bee populations, pollutant chemicals getting into the water courses, getting into Fish stocks and then into the humans and other species that eat them! So many men die in my village from differing forms of cancer - why, could this crop spraying process have anything to do with and if not, why are we supposed to stay indoors whilst this is going on - not that I ever receive any warnings? In addition to the environmental problems, you have the problems of terrified farm and domestic animals bolting into fences, premature births.... Rant Over. The Helicopter in this film is the Soviet built Kamov Ka-26.
