@Scuba Diving at San Miguel de Cozumel 2022 with the Cozumel Dive Academy, Drift Dives & a Shipwreck
I just returned from a scuba diving trip at San Miguel de Cozumel where I joined four fabulous women divers and amazing underwater photographers organized by Cozumel Dive Academy. I give the academy a five-star rating on their dive operation, access to the retail store at the waterfront and more importantly friendly well-trained staff and dive master and guides. Cozumel is a perfect diving destination not only for experienced divers but also for beginners. With the exception of a dive on a shipwreck, all dives were drift dives over amazing reefs, ledges, and caves, the water temperature was 85-degrees with amazing visibility as you will see in the video. Cozumel reefs include colorful corals and abundant growth of sponges. Multicolored and spectacular marine flora and fauna bursts with sea life. On this trip we saw eagle rays, barracudas , turtles and black tip sharks to mention a few. Cozumel is home to around 500 species of fish, 60 species of coral, 350 mollusks and marine mammals, algaes, and seagrasses. For more information on the Cozumel Dive Academy dive training and dive excursions visit https://diveboutiquecozumel.com/ Cozumel Dive Academy is the perfect place for you to enjoy some of the best scuba diving Cozumel has to offer. They have two locations in Cozumel to serve you from, both located right on the waterfront, which was very convenient when I had a needed equipment repair for my GoPro mount. Whether you are a first time diver or a seasoned veteran, Cozumel Dive Academy has you covered, even larger cubic inch Nitrox tanks for people like me that burn through air faster than my women dive buddies. First class concierge service. As a PADI 5 Star IDC facility, their number one priority is you, I felt spoiled all week long. They are committed to providing divers with the best scuba diving and training Cozumel has to offer. Cozumel is also one of the best places to learn to scuba dive if you are not yet a diver. Their instructors have decades of experience and knowledge, an incredible passion for the ocean, and the desire to share our experience and expertise with divers of all levels. I got to meet many of these individuals at the Cozumel Dive Academy, I was truly impressed. Reefs names: Palancar Gardens Casa Blanca Between Palancar Gardens and Columbia Bricks Yocab Reef Palacar Caves El Paso del Cedral Yocab to Tormentos Shipwreck "C53 Felipe Xicotencatl" For more information: http://www.mapleleafscuba.com/ship-wreck-c-53-cozumel/ I captured the underwater video on a GoPro Hero 10 with Solo lights and still images with a Nikon D850 camera inside a Nauticam underwater housing with Sea & Sea strobes.
