This massive 10,567-ton Type 1TL standard tanker joined the Imperial Japanese Navy in 1943. She was at anchor in Malakal Harbor on 30 March when Task Force 58 American Douglas SBD Dauntless dive bombers from USS Enterprise attacked and hit her with three 1,000lb bombs. In this dive I enter the steering flat at the stern.
