Roene's World's video: Mount Agung climb at Bali

This video is a selection of picture i took during my climb on Mount Agung in june 2017. We (my wife(pregnant ;)) and i) started the climb around 1:00 am and reached the top (3000m) at 5:20 am to watch the beautiful sunset over Bali. The crater was fantastic! it wasn't a walk in the park! A couple of months later Mount Agung erupted. Enjoy the pictures. Mount Agung or Gunung Agung is a volcano in Bali, Indonesia, southeast of Mt Batur volcano, also in Bali. Gunung Agung stratovolcano is the highest point on Bali. It dominates the surrounding area, influencing the climate, especially rainfall patterns. From a distance, the mountain appears to be perfectly conical. From the peak of the mountain, it is possible to see the peak of Mt Rinjani on the nearby island of Lombok, to the east, although both mountains are frequently covered in clouds. Gunung Agung is an active volcano, with a large and deep crater that occasionally emits smoke and ash.
