PROUD! I have almost removed this word from my life. I think this is one of the most misused words. Often I see someone saying, Proud to be Muslim, Proud to be Hindu, Proud to be Brahmin, Proud to be Rajput, Proud to be Bihari, Proud to be Tamilian, Mumbaikar, Delhiite. Proud to be this proud to be that. The problem is not in being proud, the problem is in being proud of those things which you did not choose. Like your birth in one religion, or in one kind of caste is just a coincidence. People who write Proud to be Hindu should be asked that if you were born in a Christian home, would you have written Ashamed to be a Christian? No? Because the places, languages and cultures of all religions have their own qualities. And this proud word makes us feel that we are better than others but it does not happen. We should respect all types of people, their culture. Response should be given.
