Rommel's video: Pelican Flower Captures Fly for Pollination

@Pelican Flower Captures Fly for Pollination
The Aristolochia grandiflora "Pelican Flower' relies on the fly for pollination. It emits a pungent odour attractive to flies. A fly enters through the opening cavity and is trapped inside for a day or two. During this time, the fly gives the Pelican flower any pollen it may have gathered from other flowers, then the Pelican flower releases its own pollen onto the fly. The fly then eat the flower's nectar. Finally, the flower releases the fly unharmed to pollinate other flowers. (Aristolochia grandiflora)
