Roman-Tsch%C3%A4ppeler's video: Application for Groundsman Trainees

@Application for Groundsman Trainees
Dear Head Groundsmen All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club Mister Neil Stubley We recently built Switzerland’s first public grass tennis courts in the grounds of a legendary but abandoned football stadium in Biel/Bienne, an insignificant Swiss town near the French border. Our project is part of a larger social initiative run by a group of the town’s creative minds together with residents of the neighbourhood of Champagne, where the tennis courts are located. The courts are surrounded by a construction site for school children, a field where locals grow potatoes, several artist spaces, and more. We financed the two courts through crowdfunding and are now running them with a great deal of enthusiasm but unfortunately a lack of know-how and presumably wrong tools. We greatly admire the work that you and your colleagues do at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, and would like to invite you to Switzerland in the hope that you might share some of your invaluable knowledge and experience with us. Your visit might include a presentation of your work at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, an extended Q&A, and an inspection of our courts. And to finish off, a few beers and good Swiss wurst! We would of course cover all of your expenses. We are well aware of how precious your time is, and that our request may sound rather naïve. But what we have learnt while realising our dream of playing on grass, is that it is important to give everything a try. If you would like to find out more about our Champagne Tennis Club, what motivates us, and how we are taking care of the courts, please get in touch with us. We would be delighted to hear from you.
