"Falling In Love Again" é o quarto disco da carreira solo de David Gates, após a extinção da banda Bread. Gravado em 1980, este álbum traz 10 faixas, todas elas compostas por ele. Este álbum viria a ser o último lançado pela gravadora Elektra, pois a partir do álbum seguinte, "Take Me Now", David Gates foi para a Arista. . Participaram da gravação Larry Knechtel e Mike Botts, ex-integrantes do Bread, Jim Horn, John Guerin, Dean Parks, Dan Dugmore, Hadley Hockensmith, Russ Kunkel, David Lindley e David Miner. Destaco as faixas "Can I Call You" e "Sweet Desire", nenhuma delas, porém, podendo ser comparadas com os seus melhores momentos de inspiração. Ressalvo a grande qualidade técnica que é marca dos discos de Mr. Gates, assim como a precisão e a qualidade dos músicos envolvidos. O brilhante compositor, músico e cantor principal da extinta banda Bread, é o autor de maravilhosas e inesquecíveis baladas do início dos anos 70, como é o caso de "If", "Everything I Own", "Aubrey", "Baby I´m-A Want You", "Make It With You", "The Guitar Man", entre outras.
