In a shocking new development in the drugs on cruise case involving Aryan Khan, a key witness in this case, is now dead. Yes, the man named Prabhakar Sail, an independent witness of the Narcotics Control Bureau in the case died yesterday of what is being reported as a Heart Attack. He was only 37 years old. A police official told the Press Trust of India that 37 year old Prabhakar Sail died of a heart attack at his house in Mahul which is in Chembur, last evening. He was taken to the BMC run Rajawadi Hospital in Mumbai's Ghatkopar, where he was declared 'brought dead', as per the police officer who spoke to PTI. Prabhakar Sail's lawyer Tushar Khandare confirmed that he died after suffering a massive heart attack. He is reported to have said that his family members do not suspect any foul play. But how important was Prabhkar Sail to the Aryan Khan case and how will it affect it now that he is dead? Did you know that the entire investigation aginst Aryan Khan and others kicked off because of Prabhakar Sail, who claimed to be the bodyguard of another NCB witness Kiran P Gosavi - the same man, who clicked that infamous selfie with Aryan Khan at the NCB office, the night he was detained. Now, things got really serious and ugly after Prabhakar alleged in a written affidavit that he had heard KP Gosavi discuss a 25 crore pay-off deal after Aryan Khan was arrested during a raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast in the early hours of 3rd October last year. The ship was going from Mumbai to Goa. As per a Hindustan Times report, Prabhakar Sail overheard a conversation in which a payoff of 25 crore was discussed. Of the total alleged payoff amount, 8 crore was meant for Sameer Wankhede, as per the claims. Later, he was termed as a “hostile witneess” by the NCB. But as per this report, Prabhakar wrote in his afidavit that his boss KP Gosavi had a conversation with one man named Sam D’Souza. And here's what has been quoted from that Affidavit. Listen carefully. “You put a bomb of 25 crores and let’s settle at 18 final, because we have to give 8 crores to Sameer Wankhede,” Gosavi told a certain person named Sam D’Souza," as per the affidavit. Of course, Sameer Wankhede had denied all allegations against him amid a huge political circus in Maharashtra; but he was later transferred after raging controversies involving him. The HT report also claims that Prabhakar Sail claimed that KP Gosavi met Aryan Khan’s lawyer and Shahrukh Khan's manager Pooja Dadlani, and reportedly struck a deal for Aryan’s release. These explosive claims had prompted Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik to question the NCB investigation. But now, Prabhakar is dead and where is KP Gosavi. He had been earlier arrested by Pune police and is presently under judicial custody. 24 year old Aryan Khan was named the accused no. 1 in the case along with 19 others by the Narcotics Control Bureau. This included his friend Arbaaz Merchant and a 'model' named Munmum Dhamecha. All the accused were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances or the NDPS Act. These included serious charges like possession, consumption, sale and purchase of banned drugs, conspiracy and abetment, among others. But as of today, from the 20 arrested accused, only two are in judicial custody and the rest are all out on bail. As per another HT report, during the search, the NCB claimed to have seized drugs like 13 grams of Cocaine, 5 grams of Mephe-drone, 21 grams of Charas, and 22 pills of MDMA or ecstasy and 1.33 lakh rupees in cash from seven of the nine people apprehended during the raid. But this new development of the key witness in the case dying has put it right back in the focus and many have already started talking about conspiracy theories.
