@Somy Ali Equates Salman Khan with Hollywood's Biggest Sex Offender in a Daring Post
WATCH VIVEK OBEROI'S EXPLOSIVE INTERVIEW HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkFVWWn1new It's the disaster that was waiting to happen. Someone had to do this. And now Somy Ali has done it. Threatened to expose the dark underbelly of Bollywood's biggest superstar, calling him the Harvey Weinstien of the Hindi Film Industry, no less. Somy Ali's now deleted Instagram post has sent ripples in the industry, as she claimed to expose Salman Khan. Yes, she actually posted a sillouhete from the song Aate Jaate Haaste Gaate from Salman's first hit film Maine Pyaar Kiya and wrote below it, “The Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood! You will be exposed. The women you abused will come out one day and share their truth. Just like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.” She even tagged Aishwarya in the post. The mainstream media is calling this a cryptic post because in a slightly ambiguous manner but surely it seems pretty obvious that she has named Salman Khan in the post without actually naming him, by using a sillouhete from his most iconic film. Somy Ali says she had come to India at the age of 16. As per many accounts, Salman and Somy were in a relationship from 1991 to 1999. Salman then broke up with Somy and got into a relationship with Aishwarya Rai. After dating for two years, they ended their relationship on a bitter note. There were reports that Salman had mentally and physically abused Aishwarya, and hence, she broke up with him. Everyone remembers the late night episode of Salman Khan creating a ruckus under Aishwarya's building in Mumbai and who can forget the infamous Vivek Oberoi episode. In one of his most candid and explosive interviews he gave me recently when he was in Dubai, he had spoken about how many in the industry tried to pull him down and more. Have left the link in the description. As for Somy Ali, after her breakup, she left the film industry. In a recent interview with Zoom Digital, she had said, “It’s been 20 years since I broke up with Salman. He cheated on me and I broke up with him and left. It’s as simple as that. I never went to India initially to be a part of Bollywood. Once I broke up with my ex, there was nothing keeping me there.” Back in 2018, when the movement was in full swing, Somy had come out in support of the brave woman, while also sharing her own sexual abuse story revealing that was raped when she was only 14 years old. Now, she runs am NGO called No More Tears in the US for victims of physical and sexual violence. While it's anybody's guess why Somy must have deleted the post after it started going viral, she got some support from one Nikkiey Chawla, who calls herself India's first transgender model and actress. But before more people could see, Somy deleted the post which is right here infront of your screens. If you check on Somy's insta account now, you won't find this post in which she has equated one of Bollywood's most influential stars with Harvey Weinstein, who is responsible for the start of the movement in Hollywood that later spread across the entire world. Harvey Weinstein is an American former film producer and convicted sex offender. He and his brother, Bob Weinstein, co-founded the entertainment company Miramax, which produced successful independent films like Sex Lies and Videotape, Pulp Fiction and Shakespeare in Love. In October 2017, following sexual abuse allegations dating back to the late 1970s, Weinstein was dismissed from his company and expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. More than 80 women had made allegations against Weinstein by October 31st that year. The allegations were so fierce that it sparked the social media campaign and many sexual abuse allegations against powerful men around the world; this phenomenon is referred to as the "Weinstein effect". Weinstein was then arrested and charged with rape in New York in May 2018. He was found guilty of two of five felonies in February 2020, was sentenced to 23 years in prison. His earliest possible release date is November 9, 2039, when he will be 87 years old . On July 20, last year, he was extradited to Los Angeles to face further charges at a subsequent trial. But that was Hollywood. What do you think will happen now in Bollywood after Somy Ali's daring yet mysyerious post that may be deleted but it poses many important questions about one of the most powerful names in B-town. Let us know your thoughts in comments.
