Ronin Wong's video: Blue Skies ukulele cover

@Blue Skies (ukulele cover)
The song 'Blue Skies' was written in 1926, by Irving Berlin, as a last-minute addition to the Rodgers and Hart musical Betsy. The show was not a huge hit, but the song was tremendously popular. Opening night audiences demanded 24 encores of the piece! Over the years, versions of the song have been recorded by performers such as Al Jolson, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Jim Reeves, and Willie Nelson. This is my third year at the Richmond Maritime Festival. Most of my set at the festival consists of 'nostalgic' songs from the 1920s to 1950s. 'Blue Skies' is always a good lead-off song. Cheers, Ronin.
