Rory Cellan-Jones's video: GUY DEACON S EPIC AFRICAN PARKINSON S JOURNEY

Retired British Army officer Colonel Guy Deacon is driving from Freetown in Sierra Leone to Cape Town in South Africa to highlight the challenges posed by Parkinson's Disease in Africa. Guy was diagnosed with the condition in 2011 and in November 2019 set off to drive from the UK to Cape Town, a journey cut short by Covid-19. Now he's hoping to complete the trip and make a documentary about it. Here he talks to Rory Cellan-Jones about his hopes that along the way he can highlight the plight of people with Parkinson's in Africa.
