We got the chance to visit an ethical elephant sanctuary north of Chiang Mai. We visited the elephant trails program which is run by Elephant Nature Park. It was an intimate affair with only 8 tourists to 4 elephants. We did what the elephants wanted to do, stopping when they wanted to stop, bathing when they wanted to bathe.
