VIDEO NOTES/STORY: -In this video, Adrien and Marinette are aware of their superhero identities. -Chat Noir is hit by an akuma's bolt while taking a shot for Ladybug and it has an unexpected effect--He becomes Chat Blanc, who despite being a villain is still very much infatuated with Ladybug. Chat Blanc becomes Ladybug's greatest threat due to the fact she still loves him and he, although still loving her, is after her Miraculous. -A good rule of thumb is that when Chat Noir isn't white it is in the past and Marinette is remembering what he was like.
