Watch episode 1 of my Dharamshala-Bir trip in monsoon (August 2023) !! ⇨ On day 1, I arrived in Chandigarh by air from Mumbai. It took me approx. two hours to reach. I had pre-booked an overnight bus (Laxmi Travels) from Redbus website, which costed around INR 1000 each for Dharamshala bus station. ⇨ I reached the destination next morning and then by a local cab, reached the Dharamkot chowk for INR 500. Our homestay was booked in Gallu, which requires a bit of off-roading. ⇨ So we shifted to another cab (contact Anu +91 9736511752) who took us from the Dharamkot chowk to Birdhouse Retreat in Gallu for INR 500. ⇨ Gallu is a good location for multiple treks and short hikes, so I recommend it for a peaceful stay.
