The Place du Canada at the corner of René Lévesque Boulevard and Peel St presents three architectural moments. The cathedral is called Mary, Queen of the World and was built in 1870—a one-fifth sized replica of St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome. The chunky white office building to the left/north, is the Édifice Sun Life: construction took almost twenty years, from 1913 to 1931. And finally, the white cruciform office tower, familiar to all Montrealers, is the Place Ville Marie, made in the 1960s. Visit http://www.ryeberg.com
