Sihlelelwe Masilela's video: VILLAGE HARVEST SEASON ESWATINI LIFE SWATI YOUTUBER

Hey y'all I hadn't planned on vlogging on this day, I was really busy. However, I compiled a few clips to show y'all what happens during harvest season in the village. I live with my family in the suburbs, but we have a house in the village where we have a typical Swati farm with maize fields and livestock (chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, pigs and cows). On this day we went to harvest some maize (corn). First, my mom, twin sister and I made some breakfast for the others who were already working in the fields. We made some tea. Then also cooked lunch. We did all this on a open fire. We have a gas stove and electricity, but on this day there was no electricity so we cooked outside. We later then joined the rest of the family and helpers in the field. This part of harvesting is done by hand. We then keep the cobs in a maize crib to dry, then a machine is used to separate the kernels from the cobs before storing in maize tanks. Hopefully I will get to film that part.
