Testing of coronavirus infection is important to prevent spread from one to other. There are three testing technologies are available now in India. First one is RAT Rapid antigen test, the accuracy is of 40% and only useful where RT-PCR is not available. Convenient for Govt. to wash off hands by showing this test. The second test is RT-PCR which is a molecular test for RNA of coronavirus, still it is accurate up to 90%. the third test is to test the antibodies to Coronavirus developed after infection, this is useful after the corona infection. D-Dimor test is important to know the vascular complications especially in aged population. After 4-5 days of acute infection this test is very important to indicate the correct guidelines for medical management.
