@The Ladies Club - Andile Stix Dlamin
Today on The Ladies Club our conversation is about women who break gender stereotypes in goalkeeping. Banyana Banyana and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies goalkeeper Andile Stix Dlamini is our game changer today. Born in Thembisa, she started playing street soccer from a young age with her uncles. Her professional career started with Phomolong Ladies and now she plays on the regular for Mamelodi Sundowns. Andile made her Banyana debut in 2011 against Botswana and has become one of the long-serving members at the team. Her career highlights include being named in the squad for the SASOL National Championship in 2013 and 2015. She travelled to the 2016 Olympics in Rio and also played in the 2016 African Women Championship in Cameroon, where she was named goalkeeper of the tournament.
