SAE UAE's video: Student Work - UNSCRIPTED WITH BRENT BLACK

“ My name is Jackie Alera and I am 22 years old and I am originally from the Philippines. I am currently in T4 in SAE Institute located in Dubai Knowledge Village (D.K.V) I am currently a film student and I have always been interested in film for a really long time since I was a young eight year old. To be honest, it would be Iron Man that got my attention! My highlight of studying in SAE is that people are so energized about their passion and their ambitions let it be about making the next documentary or even collaborating with people within other media such as graphic design and animation. If there is a highlight I will never forget it would be meeting one of my favorite radio-jockey from Virgin Radio Brent Black for my very first film project that was for CMPP called Unscripted with Brent Black which was a interview that I always cherish in fact because of that we have become more closer. Thank you SAE for making my dream come true. What inspired me to enter the field I am in right now is basically falling in love with movie from the Disney classic hand pumping movie High School Musical to the newer tear-jerker ones such as The Farewell. Basically it is this: movies has always had a very special part in my heart. My typical normal day is me on a laptop and watching films or trying to come up with new projects. The variety of the applications that are being used in SAE and in the Film department follows the industry - Adobe Premiere Pro is the number one applications that most of the students use to edit and we also sometimes use Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop (for the perfect title sequence) and finally Celtx for screenwriting. Throughout my time in the institute; I would find myself using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit footages that are often given by the professor/s. But personally since I am interested in screenwriting; I usually use Celtx tremendously. “
