Our passionate Bachelor’s of Animation student Arafa Al Mughairi (@arafaspenandpaint) has created a beautiful project and here is what she had to say! 👇🏻👇🏻 "From Old is an abstract retelling of the internal struggle of identity being a third culture kid or a child of diaspora. The feeling of coming from more than one place, but belonging to none. The idea that there are many origins rooted within a person, and trying to capture the dichotomy of how channeling the mix of culture, history, and identity can be both incredibly uplifting and internally conflicting. As an animator, this was a passion project where I was able to use the skills I learned throughout my degree and use them to push my personal style. I wanted to take traditional mediums of music, dance, and 2D animation and combine their individual methods of storytelling into a harmonious narrative."
