Free concerts in Hampstead Park. Location: 30 Lyncroft Road, Metro Plamondon/161 bus, corner Fleet/Queen Mary Rd. All concerts will take place on Tuesdays, at 7:00 pm, rain or shine. In case of rain, the concerts will be held in the Irving L. Adessky Community Centre. Everyone’s welcome, bring a lawn chair and enjoy! August 20: Sandra & The Latin Groove. August 13: String Theory Summer Concert August 6: Vintage Wine plus Special Guests. This group will entertain you with a tribute to Leonard Cohen and other Jewish music makers: Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Diamond, Carole Kind, Neil Sedaka, Leslie Gore, Billy Joel, and more! Along with hit music you’ll be treated to interesting stories about their backgrounds. July 16: Smokin’ Deville. Take a trip to the fifties to relive the good ol’ days of rockabilly, swing, and rock ‘n’ roll. With their roaring contagious energy, Smokin’ Deville leaves everyone on the edge of their seat – that is if they’re not already on their feet dancing! July 9: Replay Sixties Invasion. It’s a groovy experience featuring the greatest hits from the 1960’s by The Beatles, The Monkees, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Byrds, The Kinks, The Mamas & Papas, Elvis, and many more!
