@Devika Rani kiss with Himanshu rai- first kiss in hindi movies
Devika Rani kiss scene in Karma- First kissing scene in bollywood Kissing scenes have always played a very important role in Indian movies. these things have always been a big topic of discussion and debate. several Hindi films were marketed only on the basis of the fact that there were several kissing scenes in them. although before India gained Independence there were a number of films that had kissing scenes in them but after 1947 when cinematograph Act was passed in 1952 then it put an effective ban on kissing scenes in Hindi movies. Hello friends you are watching saurago culture and today we are going to talk about Devika Rani kiss with Himanshu Rai which was the first kissing scene in Hindi cinema. After the cinematograph Act was passed in 1952, Hindi films became more and more conservative. This was the period when the love between two lovers could be shown only through symbolism. most of you would be aware of such symbolism. so many times in Hindi movies of this error we have seen romantic scenes been portrayed to flowers coming together a couple going behind a tree or a burning fire. and after this audience themselves had to understand that what really happened. especially the metaphor of two flowers coming together was a favourite of directors of the time. anyways we were talking about the first kissing scene of Hindi cinema. an interesting trivia here is the fact that even before the first scene in n Hindi movie kissing scene was shown in a Bengali film Bilal Ferat. this film was directed by Dhirendra Nath Ganguly and it was based on Mahabharata. after this in 1929 the silent film author of the eyes also had a kissing scenes between actor Seeta Devi and Charu roy. but they credit for first kissing scene in Hindi movies goes to actress Devika Rani and actor Himanshu rai. Devika Rani was the most popular actress of 1930s. this thing was a part of the movie Karma which was released in 1933. Devika Rani played the role of a princess in this movie Who falls in love with the prince of a neighbouring state. her father is not in favour of this relationship. the film was a Indo German and British collaboration and the target audience for the movie was also International. the movie was released 2 years after India's first movie with dialogues alamara was released. an interesting thing here is the fact that the same was 4 minutes long and it was not really a part of any romantic sequence. Devika Rani the actress in the same was trying to bring her unconscious lover back into consciousness. the film was not very successful commercially. impact Devika Rani and Himanshu Rai work also married in real life at the time. the credit for bringing kissing scenes back on cinema screens goes to Late Raj Kapoor. in the movie Mera Naam Joker he had shared a case with Russian actress. after this in film Bobby there was a kissing scene between Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in Satyam Shivam Sundaram there was a scene between Shashi Kapoor and Zeenat Aman and in the Teri Ganga Maili a kiss was shared between Rajiv Kapoor and Mandakini. all the scenes were extremely popular and controversial at the same time. In 1980 and 1990 movies like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak Dayavan and till also attend a lot of notoriety. And now such scenes have become popular again in Hindi cinema. The directors don't need to use flowers to show two lovers getting together. you are watching saurago culture and we will keep bringing such stories for you in future as well. so if you like the video you're just so don't forget to subscribe to our channel and if you didn’t, well subscribe anyway it's free who cares. do let us know in the comments below if you would like us to cover any particular topic.
