modded game: https://nofile.io/f/8mTZgb2XxPk/ioqua... cfg files that go in appdata\roaming\quake 3: https://nofile.io/f/CPMgU2qpfqm/baseq... my customized arcane themed build, this is a build i've been working on as of late with the concept being that hunter is an ancient prehispanic mayan/central american sorcerer, and this is her stomping grounds in the spirit world.. hence the raven caw's, the wing flapping sound in the jump, and the special sample for the taunt and along with her dress it all pretty much ties in perfect with this map. this mapper is a genius, simonoc better known as sock. all his maps are full of esoteric influence and the video doesn't do the graphics quality justice. this is me trying to get the most out of quake 3, and i guess build myself a poor mans champions of a sort. this build is pretty much full vanilla as far as physics go. the only adjustments i've made are 350 speed, 800 grav, and 1500 knockback. chose vanilla over cpma, because it best emulates the movement in champions and if i want air control i can play xontic and cpma till my heart's content. i actually am more interested to see how good i can be on vanilla. Hunter has been modified lightly in this vid, however she has now been edited to own the map and does go after hidden powerups. very hard to beat now as opposed to this vid, and this is basically a test tourney. This isn' the only theme i have going on though, as my build is quite versatile, this just happens to eb what i'm concentrating on the most as of late. i did a lot of sound file editing for this build. none of the sample's i am using are oem except for the xonotic grenade launcher and bounce pad. the champions armor pickup has been trimmed of the excess before the initial hit, and tempo modded to be quicker. personally i like it better now. it's faster and altogether snappier. the shards are nothing but an 808 snare with ammo/clip sounds layered on top for a snappy punchy pickup. still a ways to go, will be replacing some items with runes, etc for more of the esoteric feel eventually i also made the white grenadel skin, pretty simple affair skinning is. have vulkan q3 exe but i am currently ok with ogl unless i end up needing a more modern & versatile api. i have quite a lot of effects going on but i've since managed to lighten the load by 15-20% and not lose quality. normally it runs dead locked on 144 when the reshader is off. ioq3 ogl vanilla q3 running @ 350 speed 800 grav. wep knockback 1500 reshader sweetfx i7-2600k @ 3.8 16 gb hyper x fury 1600 gtx 1060 6gb @ 2100
