I'm not a big fan of placements, and I had a conversation with somebody on LinkedIn who claimed that placements don't work. Well, they kind of don't work because everyone is bidding on the same channel or video, and the bids are very aggressive. So you need to be aggressive with your bids to start selling. If I'm your target audience and you're selling Google Ads, you would target a certain channel or placement related to Google Ads. When I visit that channel or placement, your ad could potentially appear, but I might not visit it for weeks or months, so you won't be able to hit me with your ad. The best strategy is to follow me all over the internet and on YouTube. If I watch a football video, golf video, cooking video, or sit down with my little one to watch a cartoon video, your ad can follow me on any video I want.
