This seductive song from composer Siddharth Kasyap and with lyrics by Iqbal Qureshi, “Chhuona” looks at a female’s desire at making passionate love. She conveys how berserk she went after her first connect with love and, since that experience, she continuous her yearning for endless love. The foot tapping tune focuses on the new age outlook from a modern woman’s perspective of sensuality, but the heart of the matter is really its catchy tune composed by Siddharth Kasyap with vocals by Purva Mantri, a playback singer now but who, as a teenager, participated in the second season of Indian Idol. Her impressive vocals are backed by the rap of Gandhaar, more popularly known as 1080g (Ten Eighty G), who describes his voice as “raw, husky, breathy, and grungy”, which works in his favour due to the musical work created by Siddharth Kasyap and the supporting keyboards of Atul Raninga. “Chhuona” is altogether a track that is excellent, unexpected, and infectious with its synths and drum machines and a musical landscape that feels confident, loose, and free.
