In 2015, Executive Director of Special Kids Special Families (SKSF) was one of several women awarded by the Colorado Springs Business Journal - Women of Influence Award. SKSF is a non-profit 501c3 organization located in the Colorado Springs area. As a program of SKSF, Zach's Place, a licensed respite and child care center, supports families seeking care for their children with disabilities. Zach's Place teaches life skills & safety skills and incorporates social and community activities for youth ages 5-21 who have developmental disabilities and special needs. SKSF also provides foster care & child placement along with adult services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
