SMG's video: Personal Best Bass Occoquan Reservoir

In this video I catch not one, not two, but THREE BASS OVER FOUR POUNDS! I've been struggling to put together a video these last couple of weeks due to extremely strong winds, bad audio, and just a straight up lack of fish. Looking into the weekend forecast I saw that it was going to be overcast, cold, and a low pressure drop. All of which lead up to a storm front rolling in later on in the day. You couldn't ask for any better weather conditions. After struggling to get out of bed I finally got up with plenty of time to beat the D.C. traffic, to make it to the Occoquan Reservoir, just in time to get the boat out on the water before daybreak. When I jacked into my first two and a half pound bass (biggest bass all year) I couldn't be happier... or so I thought. As the day progressed and I made my way south, down the reservoir, and I ended up catching on to a great pattern. Most of the fish were caught on a quad willow leaf spinner bait, white and yellow in color, and seven and a half inch ribbon tail Yum plastic worms, Texas rigged on a 3/0 hook. Almost all of the fish were deep sitting on ledges in about 25 to 30 feet of water. Today’s fishing trip couldn't have been any better... well if my outboard's prop didn't spin the hub half way back to the ramp I guess it would have been better.
