GILLIAN WHITEHEAD: time steps out of line ‘time steps out of line’ is Gillian Whitehead’s response to a commission from Chamber Music New Zealand for historical performance ensemble Juilliard415. Gillian writes, “While writing I found suggestions of harmony from other eras were creeping into the fabric of the piece, occasionally explicitly, usually more subtly, perhaps suggesting a dislocation in time.” Juilliard415 is conducted by Kyle Ritenauer.
