SOUTHEND AVIATION's video: POV Aviation Photography XH558 Think Twice Before Going to this Event

@✈ POV Aviation Photography | XH558 | Think Twice Before Going to this Event...
Hello and welcome to SOUTHEND AVIATION! Last month I attended the Vulcan To The Sky Trust's "Ground Run Experience" event at Doncaster Airport. In this POV video I'll show you the experience myself and my friends experienced during this event and what we all collectively thought of the event as a whole. Long story short, we were not impressed. I hated having to do this type of video, a lot negativity and ranting through out etc. But fact of the matter is there were so many cons to this event, and the cons far out weigh the pros as you'll see in the video. You may be aware that Doncaster Airport closed late last year and VTTS were told to relocate, at the time of filming they were told they had until June this year to leave. However this has now been extended to the end of the year, meaning that no doubt they'll be publishing more of these events during the summer months. I can honestly say the events are not worth the money by any stretch. You are far better off saving your money, spending it on the other live Vulcans or similar engine run events across the country. There is a lot of speculation as to where XH558 will end up once the time comes where VTTS are forced to leave. We were told by the staff that they will be paying £750,000 for the Vulcan to dismantled in the space of just 28 days! This seems an incredibly short time to carefully dismantle a cold war bomber which leads me to think the majority of the frame will sadly go to scrap. And maybe only the nose section will remain as an exhibit. Having said that, perhaps I'm being too optimistic here, I do feel as though DSA has a chance of reopening. Either that or I have a feeling VTTS will buy part of the site from PEEL and remain there. It is evidently clear that this beautiful aircraft has fallen into the wrong hands, i.e. Vulcan To The Sky Trust. As special thanks to the boys for joining me at this event, sorry it wasn't what we hoped for lads. Plenty more events to look forward to this year, role on Brunty!
