Students with and without an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) are being educated in general education classrooms with varying degrees of success. Just being present does not guarantee improved outcomes for students. Research suggests that systematic planning improves access to the general education curriculum and active engagement. But what does planning look like and sound like? What systems structures are necessary for success? What do we NEED to know before we can be successful?
