Most people think The Sanctuary is a temple, but in fact it's more to be considered a castle of spirituality, as it combines elements of both Buddhism, Hinduism and Taoism under one roof. It's made entirely of wood, without the use of any nails, and the carvings inside and outside this castle are nothing short of brilliant - it's the result of 39 years of patient Thai craftsmanship. Pattaya is first of all known for it's beaches, colorful cocktails and 4-5 star hotels.
