If you could press a button that would give you ten million dollars in an instant, wouldn't you press it? Most would consider it foolish not to do so. However, the sad truth is that many of us are one prayer away from the blessings that God wants to give us, and eternal life. Many do not realize that there is an adversary, Satan, who is after our very souls. He comes to kill, steal, and to destroy. He twists and distorts the truth, and perverts the good things that God has intended for us. He blinds the masses from seeing the truth. Society as a whole is also becoming increasingly depressed because many are disconnected from the one and true source: the most high God. Just as our smartphones lose charge when they are not plugged in, so are we when we are not rooted in Jesus Christ. Sin also plays a major role in depression. Be it lust, sex before marriage, murder, abortion, idolatry, homosexuality, lying, stealing, greed, gossip, jealousy, selfish ambition, and more. The world is degrading more and more into a dystopia because morality is being based on feelings, rather than objective morality which is the word of God. Good deeds are becoming to be considered evil, and evil deeds considered good. But regardless of the progressive sinful state of our world, the bible states that no one is righteous, not even one. All it takes to disqualify a person from eternal life is to commit one sin, and God is a holy God, so he cannot allow even a single sin into heaven. This means all of mankind is doomed to eternal hell. But God loved us so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ as a final sacrifice for our sins: past, present, and future, so that we can dwell with him forever. Through him, no longer are we condemned by our sins. Instead, we are made righteous and washed clean by his blood. To those willing to be saved, it doesn't matter if you've sinned once, or a thousand times, it is all the same in the eyes of God. He is not eager to punish you, but rather he is waiting with open arms for you to come to him. To be saved, first acknowledge and confess of your sins in prayer to God, then you must confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved. God is waiting to come into your life and bless you. Psalm 34:8 states: "Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." With that said, if you're willing to put your faith in him and give him a chance, I have no doubt that God will begin to work many great things in your life.
