Sacred Land Film Project's video: Run Salmon Run

@Run Salmon Run
Sacred Land Film Project Director Toby McLeod participated in this year's Run4Salmon, a two-week prayerful journey to restore McCloud River salmon runs and protect indigenous lifeways. Led by Winnemem Wintu Chief Caleen Sisk, participants follow the 300-mile migration route of Chinook salmon up the Sacramento River to the frigid waters of Mt. Shasta. Toby used his iPhone to capture some key moments and editor Callie Shanafelt Wong created this new short film. Thanks to Jessica Abbe for the bicycle footage! Read our sacred site report to learn more about the Winnemem struggle to stop government plans to raise the height of Shasta Dam, protect sacred land and water, and bring attention to the urgent need for salmon habitat restoration. The report is at: https://sacredland.org/mccloud-river-watershed-united-states/
