Saestrol's video: Hyrule Warriors v1 0 - Adventure Mode - Section Q

@Hyrule Warriors v1.0 - Adventure Mode - Section Q
First stage: "Run swiftly across the battlefield". The map where Lana can gain her level 3 Deku Spear. This stage wants you to hunt down three captains to lure out the enemy commander, Midna. But Sheik and Ghirahim are on this stage as enemy warriors. A Cucco Chick will appear looking for it's Mama Cucco, which sucks because the spawn point it random. If you want an A rank, you are almost forced to complete this objective. Because the Mama Cucco will try to kill you if the Cucco Chick flees. It runs as fast as you can, follows you everywhere, does ridiculous damage, like 4 hearts a peck, and it's fast to attack, also carrying a red aura when enraged. Just save yourself the trouble and get the Cucco Chick escorted. The bigger problem at the start of the level is that Volga is your allied commander and he has about 4 captains + Sheik all charging him at the same time. Volga is strong, but even he will eventually loose to all of that, which would mean your defeat should you ignore it. Since you are forced into using the Deku Spear, you carry the elemental advantage against the Lizalfos and Dinolfols. If you have a good Kokiri Spear, be sure to use it. Manhandla Stalks appear after completing the first objective, but you can easily ignore them if you want. I ended up unlocking the Weapon Skill 'Regen'. Restores 1 Heart every 5 seconds, but will double the damage you take (unless the attack already did less than 100 damage, it rounds up to a quarter heart). I might talk about each skill depending on how lucky I am with obtaining them. v1.0 means no appraisals. So if I need a specific sealed skill, I'm out of luck and have to grind the KOs to check it. But just real quick: most people consider Regen a garbage skill just because while it would be useful to regain health automatically, doubling your damage intake makes it a no-no for Adventure Mode (where 10 hearts is usually the upper limit of damage you are allowed to take for A ranks, and 4 hearts for second Skulltulas). Arguably it could be useful for Hero Mode, though damage is already incredibly high on that difficulty which means you could end up loosing 20 hearts in a single hit! If you are leveled up and the enemies can't do more than 100 damage to you, then the double damage factor no longer matters. But chances are that you won't be taking enough damage to need this skill in the first place. They should have made this skill penalize something else or changed the effect around instead of your defenses. Green Scroll, anybody? (Deal more damage, take more damage) Second stage: Defeat 300 enemies in 10 minutes. Skipped because this is the square you start adventure mode on. I just wanted a compass and Fi's heart container. It literally takes 2 minutes to finish that map. Third Stage: Defeat all Giant Bosses within the time limit. Ghirahim is actually decent at taking down bosses... when his whole moveset is unlocked. But in my case I'm super nerfed because I haven't made enough progress in Legend Mode. It's insane that I actually managed to complete this map in one try and get the Heart Container. But I used to play Challenge Mode's Boss Rush a ton. I got used to having to deal with multiple bosses at the same time and learning the timings for how to do certain things. With Ghirahim's weapon and level, this map's reward shouldn't be attempted so early, but thanks to experience I managed to pull through. I probably wouldn't have been able to finish if it weren't for attacking all three King Dodongos at the same time. What a rush to try and mitigate multiple bosses! This is usually impossible without Co-op, but I've got so much experience it's just normal at this point. and finished with a bit of time to spare. Thankfully this map is lax with A rank requirements a bit. It just asks that you complete the map and they will grant you an A-rank for time.
