Small Sailboat Cruising's video: Open dinghy cruising Ungowa to Hervey Bay Fraser Island Day 4

@Open dinghy cruising. Ungowa to Hervey Bay, Fraser Island Day 4.
Open Dinghy Cruising from Ungowa to Hervey Bay. This is day 4, the final leg of my adventure in Moonlight, a 12 ft clinker built from Huon Pine in Tasmania 1980. I started out in my sailboat at Inskip point near the South of Fraser Island, and I was mostly sailing rather than motoring for 3 out of 4 days. I camped at Figtree Creek the first night, where I tried to catch a fish, but the fish were not cooperating. The second night I took our cruising dinghy up to Garry's Anchorage where I camped just North of the main anchorage. 00:00 Setting out from Deep Creek 00:13 Deep Creek log landing - very pretty and beautiful place to sleep onboard. 00:44 No wind today - motoring along with 15 Nm to cover today. 01:18 The wreck of the Ceratoga 03:15 The story of Eliza Fraser whom the island is named after. While there, I was invited on-board one of the catamarans for cold ale and snacks. Meeting with Bob, and our hosts were a highlight of the trip. Bob, a boat builder, now retired took a keen interest in Moonlight, and even gave my a short tow the following day heading up to Ungowa.
