On the journey to getting the fiberglass boat paint right on Saffron, I failed several times. The thing with these projects is that each is a one-off, each one has its own unique variables. So there is much trial and error involved. It doesn't matter how much experience you have, you will be constantly learning constantly failing, and constantly finding out what works best. Even though in my professional career covering furniture, boats, construction, and timber flooring, I have painted 10's of thousands of square meters. I am always looking for a better way. When you are painting your fiberglass boat in your driveway, you can’t control everything. You are trying to avoid over-spraying your neighbor's car, and still, get a good result! There is wind, dust, and heat to deal with so I tried a cut and polish - fail. I tried rolling - fail, so in the end and bit the bullet, took an opportunity when the neighbors were away, and got out the spray gear. - Success!
