We do virtual tours for businesses and photography and web design. We also have an agreement with Google to do street view photography inside of businesses which is really cool! Like any new business starting up from scratch we couldn’t rely on existing contacts or word of mouth or advertising on its own. We had to get out there and do cold calling. What I found really helpful was Odile offered a course on SKYPE for the day so my business partner, Grace and I signed up with Odile for the day and we were on SKYPE from our own home with the obvious benefits of not having to travel, take time out of our business schedule. What we covered during the day was fantastic. We did topics such as the difficulties or challenges of starting client conversations, overcoming nerves and also the difficulty of facing rejection and how to turn that to good account. We worked on communication skills and worked on a practical way to do it with a proper script and then practised that with Odile. She was fantastic in giving us really candid feedback in the way we approached our clients and she also gave us specific help in finding good quality leads and practical suggestions. So if you are a new business and wanting to start-up from scratch or if you just want to build your confidence in talking or starting conversations with clients I can’t recommend Odile highly enough. She was passionate, knew about her subject, and she was really keen to give us good quality help.
