Where the thermal hot water bubbles up through the sand (just above the low tide mark) it's boiling hot, be careful, the trick is getting the right balance of hot and cold water in your pool. Relax and enjoy it until the tide comes in and cold ocean water crashes over your pool and sends you home. A unique kiwi experience in the Coromandel. This was filmed on a long weekend (Labour day) and shows how busy the geothermal section of the beach can get. Visit mid-week or in the off season (winter) and you may get it all to yourself!
