Conveniently located in Kowloon, Prince Edward is a local center for food and shopping. It is not just your typical department stores either. Even if you’re not a big shopper, you’ll still have a great time exploring Prince Edward. First, we visit the Goldfish market. This is a fish keeper’s paradise. Everything from exotic animals to oxygen pumps, you’ll be able to find it here at a reasonable price. It’s like going to an aquarium, except everything is for sale. Two minutes on foot away is the famed Flower Market. This is a great place to go to appreciate the horticulture of Hong Kong. From bonsai trees to carnivorous pitcher plants, this market has it all. We consider this the city’s largest unofficial botanical garden. Just around the corner from the Flower Market is the Yuen Po Bird Market. Bird keeping is a tradition as old as Dim Sum. Bird owners from all over the city flock to the market for supplies, or just to hang out. Avoid striking up a conversation with local bird keepers, unless you want to them to talk your ear off about their passion.
