Samantha Lyn Brandi's video: Passion for Vision at Orphanage Explained in San Cristobol Dominican Republic

Hello! My name is Samantha Brandi, Founder and CEO of Passion for Vision. I would like to take a moment of your time to share a dream that God has given me. It is a dream that has transformed into the vision that is now guiding my heart’s desire, and ultimately my life. It is a dream to provide aid to thousands of orphans and women, beginning in the Caribbean Island nation of the Dominican Republic. In 2013, I had the opportunity to go my first mission’s trip to the Dominican Republic. It was here that I fell in love with the people, the culture, and especially the orphaned children. During this visit I personally saw the devastating effects that a 60-70%+ unemployment rate has on a nation, and the abject poverty that permeates throughout the society, taking a great and horrible toll on the orphans and women of the nation. At these orphanages I interacted with children of all ages, sharing with them the story of how Jesus Christ changed my life. It was during this time that each child became rooted in my heart with a love that is beyond description. As I spent this time with them, I felt each of their hearts crying for hope. Crying for help. Crying for a better way of life. I returned from this trip with a desperate cry of my own heart. I prayed, asking God to show me what I could do for these children! Especially the teenage girls that I worked with. I wanted to help, but what could little me possibly do to solve such a big problem? Encouraging them and loving them was wonderful, but something more had to be done! My entire being was stirring with a passion to impact them in a powerful and life-altering way. I wanted to bring a change for them. An answer and a way to begin to solve these problems. An escape from the pattern of the life of poverty being brought down from one generation to the next. A better way of life! As the tears were dropping from my eyes while unpacking my suitcase from this trip, I suddenly had an entire vision downloaded to me from Heaven. I grabbed a notebook and began to write the vision down, which even included the name! Following this vision came a literal dream, in which God showed me that I will give my life to these children, especially the young girls. From this emerged Passion for Vision. Proverbs 29:18 states, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” These children and youth have no vision because of the conditions they live in, which they have absolutely no control over or power to change. But what if something could be done to teach them that they can be self-sufficient? What if they were given an opportunity to learn a trade and sell a marketable item while earning a decent wage? Isn’t this a way out of poverty? Of course it is! Therefore… MISSION STATEMENT Passion For Vision (P4V) is a Charitable Organization currently being built that reaches out to orphans, youth, and women, beginning in the Dominican Republic, to empower them with a vision of health, happiness, and prosperity beyond what they see in their present day lives. It is the vision of P4V to provide orphans and women of all ages with employment and educational opportunities, beginning by breaking the bonds of poverty, and thus demonstrating their value to the community while teaching them the necessary skills to prosper. Furthermore, P4V desires to prevent underage and of-age prostitution and sex-trafficking, as well as provide an escape for these victims. The ultimate goal of P4V is to demonstrate the unconditional, fully committed, powerful and life-changing love of Jesus Christ, and to further establish the Kingdom of God through this mighty generation coming forth. My first step in birthing this vision is with a line of jewelry that I have designed. I call them safety bracelets. I personally work with teenage girls and women, both in orphanages and other safe settings, giving them all of the supplies needed and teaching them how to replicate these bracelets, while instilling in them their worth and value, and breathing life back into their dreams. I firmly believe that this is just the start of something tremendous that the Lord is going to do through this organization to transform this beautiful nation and the beautiful people living there. I also firmly believe the Dominican Republic is only the first nation of many that will be greatly impacted by P4V, as it brings vision and change to people and communities all around the world. It is my hope and prayer that you will join me in this endeavor by donating graciously to P4V.
