Ingredient List: Wheat Flour, 1 cup Rice flour, 4 Tbsp Cane Sugar, 1 Cup as per taste Green Cardamom powder, 1 teaspoon Milk, 1 or 2 cups of milk Ghee, as per taste Dry Fruits(cashew/raisins), handful fried in ghee. **** Happy Ganesh Chaturti! Growing up, mum always made this special wheat pudding called Undralla Payasam for Ganesh Chaturti. My brother and I would follow her around the kitchen like kittens watching and waiting for her to be done. This year I figured out how to make it using the Instant Pot...so much quicker...better tasting..fewer utensils! A sidenote: we grew up believing people would make this pudding because this was Lord Ganesh’s favorite pudding. It was only later that I learned Gods dont have ‘favorites’...its just that...the festival is in the monsoon season and its hard for people to digest fried foods...so they make steamed foods...which are easier to digest for young and old alike! . .
