This year, it shall take place from Wednesday, December 11th to Sunday, December 15th. The festival will be held at the Maharashtriya Mandal Krida Sankul, Mukund Nagar, Pune. This is the 67th year of this iconic music festival. “It will be a 5 days event this year as well,” informed Shrinivas Joshi, Executive President, Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal. The festival has been renamed as the ‘Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav’ since the demise of Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi. The festival was initially known as the ‘Sawai Gandharva Sangeet Mahotsav’.
