This is a Vale-Tudo (No holds barred fight) event held almost two years ago. In this fight, one of my senior students, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blue belt, Malaka Dewmith fights a challenger, Angampora and Cheenadi practitioner, and finally Malaka submits him by an armbar. As you can see, my student doesn't want to strike him at all even though he is pretty much able to do so. Not only that, but also you can hear the sound of the shoulder tissue breaking during the fight, but the challenger still refuses to give up. However, Malaka is kind enough not to break his shoulder by continuing Americana. (shoulder and elbow lock in BJJ.)
