Ingredients: for Masala powder: 2 tbsp peanuts 6 red chillis 1 tsp udad dal 1 tsp channa dal 1 tsp coriander seeds 1 tsp sesame seeds 1/2 tsp cumin few curry leaves 2 tb dry coconut for Seasoning: 2 tbsp oil 1tsp mustard seeds red chillis curry leaves 2 C chopped capsicum 1 C chopped tomatoes 21/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp garam masala powder 2 C Rice 2 tbsp ghee corriander leaves Method: Rice: Wash the rice, add 4 cups of water and pressure cook for two whistles. for Masala powder : Heat a pan add peanuts, saute for a minute. Add red chillis, udad dal, channa dal, coriander seeds, sesame seeds, cumin, curry leaves, dry coconut. Roast all the ingredients until light brown. Cool it completely and grind it into powder. Heat a pan, add oil when the oil is heated add mustard, red chillis and curry leaves. When the mustard starts to splutter add capsicum and saute on medium heat for few minutes. Do not overcook . Now add the tomatoes and mix. Saute for few minutes. Add salt, turmeric and garam masala powder. Add the masala powder and mix it well. Add the cooked rice and coriander leaves.
