Satura Stramoine's video: Debbie Danbrook - The Spirit of Shakuhachi full album

@Debbie Danbrook - The Spirit of Shakuhachi (full album)
"The Canadian Debbie Danbrook is one of the few women in the world playing the shakuhachi, the instrument being traditionally played by Japanese Zen Buddhist monks, thus reserved to men. Although she plays traditional Japanese honkyoku pieces for solo shakuhachi, her main interest is to compose original meditation and relaxation music for healing purposes. This album is the seventh of a series on meditation music, and contains a compilation of pieces from the six previous. You hear pieces for shakuhachi solo, shakuhachi duet, shakuhachi with voice, harmonics, chanting, or koto. Danbrook sings, chants, and plays the koto. Her music and her playing are compelling and soothing. It reaches its goal in relaxing and bring the listening into a meditative state. A music to be listened to, not only heard." - Bruno DeschĂȘnes "Debbie Danbrook is a performer, composer and recording artist who comes from the renowned Watazumi-Do line of Shakuhachi Masters. Danbrook specializes in the healing properties of music. The shakuhachi's revitalizing and powerful sound vibrations lead to a relaxed meditative state where healing can take place for both the player and the listener." - Canadian Music Center "Debbie Danbrook is a Master of the Shakuhachi, an ancient Japanese flute that was traditionally played only by monks as a type of Zen called 'Suizen' or blowing Zen. She is the first woman to have mastered this difficult instrument. Debbie uses the Shakuhachi with her voice to offer music that is meditative and healing. She has released 20 CDs of healing music, the most recent with Grammy award winning cellist, David Darling. Her music has been heard on countless healing videos/films and most recently on a major US television series. Debbie plays at healing events and workshops throughout North America, Europe, Africa and Japan. She was invited to play at the Genocide Memorial in Rwanda, at EXPO in Japan, for the Japanese Prince and Princess at the opening of the Zen garden in Ottawa, and also travelled to Japan 10 days after the tsunami to start her fundraising campaign for the tsunami relief fund. She is also on the Board of Directors for a palliative care association, Music Can Heal, and co-founded a Japan Cultural Foundation Association to help keep the bonds of love strong between Japan and Canada." - Akasha's Den Buy the album here : https://www.ccnow.com/cgi-local/sc_cart.cgi?6480391305948402 1 - First Breath 0:00 2 - Heart Song 4:28 3 - Angel's Lament 6:46 4 - Floating Dream 10:35 5 - Spiral 15:52 6 - Silken Strings, Wooden Bridges 20:52 7 - Emerald Shadows 26:02 8 - The Spirit Sings 30:42 9 - Strange Remembering 35:28 10 - Lotus Stem 40:21 11 - A Line Of Cranes 42:40 12 - Phoenix 47:16 Subscribe to my channel : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCM-AWvXvybgrQi6loxVI7eQ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
