Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are requesting your assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an incident of theft. On January 7, 2021, around 10:50 p.m., an unknown male entered a store in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road. It is alleged that the male selected perfume, earbuds, and various other items. Before leaving the store, the male asked an employee to show him speakers that were behind the counter. The male attempted to steal the speakers as well. The employee was assaulted during an altercation with the male while he was exiting the store. The speakers were recovered but the male left the store with a basket of other items. The unknown male was described as being early 30's, short dark hair, wearing black pants, yellow running shoes, a grey jacket, and a black t-shirt with an emblem.
