The 10th-century tabo monastery was founded by the great scholar richen zangpo and has been declared as the world heritage site by UNESCO. Our 2nd destination of road to pin valley is Dhankar Monastery which is a gravity-defying ancient Gompa hanging on a cliff overlooking the Pin River in Spiti valley of Himachal Pradesh. Built at the highest location in Spiti Valley, Dhankar Monastery is one of the five main Buddhist centres and tourist destinations in Spiti region. Surrounded by mud ridges and mountain, the Dhankar Monastery is perched on top of a hill in one of the most spectacular ways. Lastly, we reached One of the hidden gems of Spiti district is Pin Valley. Pin Valley National Park is a National park of India located within the Lahaul and Spiti district, in the state of Himachal Pradesh, in far Northern India. With its sub-zero temperatures and semi-frozen rivers, Pin Valley is the only cold desert National Park located in Himachal Pradesh. Even though a cold desert area in Himachal Pradesh, there is no dearth of places to visit in Spiti Valley. Some of the most beautiful and calm places to see in Spiti valley in June 2019 are Kibber, Tabo, Kaza, Pin Valley, Kibber, and Komik.
