Bal Raksha Bharat's video: Empowering young women through skill development

This video focuses on the empowerment of women through skill development, financial literacy, and vocational education. It talks about the Bal Raksha Bharat (globally known as Save the Children) project Sashakt Kishori, launched in Bihar. The primary objective of this project is to ensure a smooth transition of adolescent girls to adulthood and help them make independent life choices. Through the Sashakt Kishori initiative, adolescent girls and young adults are trained on soft skills and financial literacy to equip them with the necessary knowledge to access social protection schemes and livelihood options. Additionally, they are offered vocational training courses to develop practical skills that will benefit them in their future careers. We believe that by investing in the education and development of women, we are empowering them to lead fulfilling lives and contribute positively to their communities.
